SIMPLE PAST TENSE - REGULAR VERBS
Em inglês há verbos regulares e irregulares.
· Os verbos regulares possuem uma única terminação para o passado: ED
· Para se formar o passado simples dos verbos regulares, acrescenta-se D ou ED ao verbo.
love - loved talk - talked
change - changed play - played
· Se o verbo terminar em y precedido de consoante, troca-se o y por IED
carry - carried study - studied
· Se o verbo terminar em sílaba forte formada por consoante/ vogal/ consoante, dobra-se a última consoante e acrescenta-se ED
stop - stopped
prefer - preferred
